Mr. Barber represented the interests of insurance companies at the beginning of his career. Since 1989 he has represented the interests of individual clients who have had claims against insurance companies that involve some type of personal injury or failure to pay benefits. Since 1995 he has had his own practice. He is also a presenter at seminars sponsored by National Business Institute and Lorman.
Currently he limits his practice to cases involving:
- automobile, motorcycle, truck and pedestrian accidents;
- slip and falls, trip and falls
- dog bites
- negligent security and
- failure to pay insurance benefits including:
- long and short term disability insurance;
- health insurance;
- life insurance;
- accidental death and dismemberment insurance and
- other types of insuance including ERISA claims
