The Practice Of Law
It is a privilege to be an advocate. It is an honor to represent the interests of clients. Individuals with claims against insurance companies are often anxious and frustrated. They need personal attention. They have many questions and need the answers immediately.
This firm aspires to treat clients as we all want to be treated: with courtesy and respect. This firm assumes that personal and face to face interaction is always preferable to telephone calls. Clients need and deserve personal contact and prompt responses to questions.
Experience is important. Professions are often referred to as "practices." This is because experience plays a major role in determining the result.
The most gratifying experience for an attorney should be obtaining a good result for his client. The second most gratifying experience should be a referal from a former client. The third most gratifying experience should be a compliment from the client at the conclusion of her/his case.
Insurance companies hire attorneys to represent their interests. In the beginning of his career Mr. Barber represented many of the largest insurance companies. including Liberty Mutual, the Hartford, CIGNA, CNA and St. Paul. This was the best training to do what he does now: represent the interests of those with claims against insurance companies. He has extensive experience litigating cases in state and Federal courts. He has filed lawsuits, conducted discovery, argued motions and tried cases to judges and juries.
